Growing Old in a New Age was produced as a telecourse and PBS series by the University of Hawai‘i Center on Aging with major funding by the Annenberg/CPB Project of Washington, DC. During four years of development, the telecourse team authored program lessons, interviewed elders and experts across the nation, produced video segments, wrote faculty and study guides, and submitted the materials for extensive formative evaluation. A national advisory committee of experts in gerontology and broadcasting reviewed content and production at each stage of project development. Growing Old in a New Age is designed for individual and family PBS viewers, for colleges and universities, and for continuing education in community or corporate settings. Anyone interested in aging will enjoy this series!
